About Us
This site is a contact point for all those interested in agroforestry and permaculture in Kent.

Our aim is to stimulate interest in agroforestry and permaculture locally and help people get in touch with one another.  Our hope is that those with skills, enthusiasm, energy or resources to offer can use the land productively, using a sustainable, wildlife-friendly and community-oriented approach.

Site history
This website was created by Helen Wharmby.  My degree was in Rural Environments and my final paper was on Sustainable Agriculture in Small Communities.  I have plenty of gardening and wild-food foraging experience - and the ability to wield a saw, hammer and screwdriver with modest skill!

I spent time looking up 'agroforestry' and 'permaculture' on the internet but found very few local sites.  In the spirit of sharing knowledge and learning new skills, I decided to fill the gap.

This website is in development and will grow as more people become involved and submit details of their experiences, projects, proposals, offers of and requests for land, tools or plants.
